Hello!

​

My name is Giovanna Garofalo and I am a Puerto Rico-based digital marketer and SEO strategi and with a background in journalism and mass communications.

 

While I was pursuing my bachelor's degree, I started working for Caribbean Business, Puerto Rico's largest financial newspaper. Between my work as a digital reporter and social media manager, and my hectic college schedule, I cemented my passion for all matters concerning communications. Fast forward a couple of years and two brief stints at a call center and digital marketing agency, and I went back to my roots to work at The Weekly Journal, where I wrote original news stories, translated reports, updated the website on a daily basis, and managed the newspaper's social media pages.

Seeking to broaden my horizons, I worked as a Digital Content and Editorial Specialist for Colmena66, a local organization dedicated to connecting established and aspiring entrepreneurs with the right resources within the local business ecosystem. There, I expanded my knowledge and skills even further by writing blogs and guidelines, creating newsletters, designing content strategies, and identifying individuals and organizations to share their expertise and help our audience solve their needs.

From 2022-2023, I have further developed myself as a Digital Marketing Professional at One Media Direct. Throughout my experience at OMD, I found a newfound passion for all things marketing - HTML editing, email ad campaigns, brand-building, social media management, video editing, content writing, graphic design, and so much more. I was also been rewarded the opportunity to assist in accounting and strategizing based on our revenue performances, as well as reaching out to prospective partners to further bolster our brands.

Most recently, I have served as the SEO Strategist for CashmanKatz, a Connecticut-based digital marketing agency with a high-profile client portfolio. There, I have identified SEO solutions for our clients to boost their organic search traffic with qualified leads. In this role, I have applied a variety of tools for optimal results, such as Google Analytics (for which I am certified!), SEMrush, Google Ads, and Rank Math SEO, to name a few.

My goal is to be the best professional I can be and to make valuable contributions with tangible results. As such, I am continuously expanding my knowledge with online courses and certifications (as you can see above!). I'm particularly interested in generative AI and its potential to create even more engaging content that is also time-efficient.
